We are thrilled to announce the first in a series of webinars on the US-Australian alliance – on the environment and community, held on Thursday, February 25, at 7 pm AEDT.
The Australian public has been kept out of the debate on Australia’s foreign policy and alliances, particularly concerning the United States. This is despite the fact that these decisions directly impact us, this can be through government money going towards buying weapons to further integrate with the US military, to the pervasive influence the US has on Australian culture.
These issues an many more will be discussed in the first of this webinar series, held as a part of the People’s Inquiry into the costs and consequences of Australia’s involvement in US-led wars and the US alliance.
We are lucky enough to have this series kicked off by two of the Inquiry’s panellists: Very Rev. Dr Peter Catt who is the panellist for the area of Social and Community, and Ian Lowe AO who is the panellist for the area of Environment and Climate Change.
